Gonna be a tough deer season

Just got back from a pre-season deer scouting trip in Unit 24. No doubt the drought took a heavy toll.

Found a few areas to hunt, but there just aren't that many deer around. It will still be a blast though and much better than not hunting!

Got back from scouting 25 a little while ago. Tons of water. Found some sign way off the beaten track. One set of tracks looks promising. Set out trail cams, go back next Sunday and see if he's a shooter. Best of luck in unit 24.
