Help - shoulder mount home care

Looking for some help from any taxidermists out there. I've got an area on my deer shoulder mount where the hair is not laying flat. I believe it happened from a recent move.

It might hard to see in the picture, but it's the best I could get. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Powdered dextrine mixed with water to clay like, or wet clay will work fine. Put on the bad spots by hand and brush out after drying. Problem solved.

First, I would get a brush with long bristles and comb thru the area and around it, to get any kinks out of the hair. Then you can try what hunterjmj stated or use a little bit of hair gel instead of water.

Good topic... good answers. I have a deer doing this all over the neck and shoulder. Will try some of the proposed solutions one of these days when I get some time.
