help with bolt action

I have a Ruger Muzzleloader that has a bolt action on it. it looks basically like a model m77. While I was cleaning the bolt I removed it from the gun and it cycled as if it was in the fired position. I can't get it back in the gun. I can't figure out how to turn the bolt to get it back in the gun. Does that make any sense? Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-18-08 AT 08:55PM (MST)[p]Thanks for the help. All it took was to push against something on the front end of the bolt(firing mechanism) and then rotating the back end of the bolt to the correct position.
