I got a rifle tag this year decideing wether to get a guide a or not. I guess I want to know the pros and cons thanks

Basically a once-in-a-lifetime tag. Do everything you can to maximize your opportunity. Unless you are 100% confident I would go guided no question. It should be the hunt of a lifetime not the stress of a lifetime. To realize the value of what you have, look at what the conservation tags sale for.
