Your hero has been expanding the number of U.S. boots on the ground in Syria since he took office. MEU Artillery units, special forces and now providing air mobility to the rebels by flying they around the battle field in our Helos.
You can pretend that it isn't so but it be so and McCain is just another war mongering who Trump is listening to.
Have you looked at the Pentagon plan that Sec. Mattis has presented to Trump?

"What that might look like is putting an extra 4,000 to 5,000 U.S. troops into Syria in order to help accelerate operations around Raqqa in the next 6 to 9 months,"
Looks like Sec. Mattis and McCain agree on more U.S. Troops. What do you think Trump will do? Will he be the Trump of the Campaign who said it was a bad idea to intervene or will he be the Trump now who just realized one way to keep the Russian investigation hushed up is to expend blood and treasure without any coherent policy. I suspect it will be that latter.
I bet you will support Trump regardless of how many Americans he wants to get over there and into a fight, you just won't support McCain.
What are our strategic national interests in Syria?
