I have 4 trail cameras. One has bounced around the bed of the side by side for two years and I assume it hasn’t any life left. The others have sat on the shelf with good intentions of being set out but never get to go on any trips. I’m not a trail cam user. This rule change doesn’t effect me. Hunters are some of the most selfish people around. We want spots for ourselves, game for ourselves, trails closed for ourselves. We have allowed ourselves to be regulated into the ground all the while Fish and Game are exempt from holding up their end of the tax-payer paid bargain.
As the “public” and tax payers, we need to hold Fish and Game’s feet to the fire to fulfill their responsibilities to us and game animals.
How about instead of worrying about trail cam usage we instead just kick off all guides from hunting public land? If the logic is such that a trail cam can kill a deer then guides literally commit mass genocide every season.
How about we focus on the HUNDREDS of tags lost to auctions, special interest groups and “foundations”? Why don’t we make Fish and Game stop issuing tags at the expos until the game herds return to their required numbers?
The trail cam issue is all smoke and mirrors. And it’s working. You’re all playing into it perfectly.
