IM THINKING ABOUT BUYING SOME LAND IN THIS COUNTY. I NEED INFO ON OTC TAGS, ANY GOOD HUNTING IN THE AREA. HAS ANYBODY HEARD GOOD OR BAD ABOUT BLACK HAWK RANCH THANKS DANNY

Will you have mineral rights?

I hear that there are a lot of gas wells in that area.

I was born and raised in Huerfano County in La Veta. My family still lives there, so I still get down there a few times a year. The hunting can be VERY good, if you have a place. There is public land, but even growing up there, I don't know of many people that hunted the public land. Lot's of private land and good luck getting anyone to let you on to hunt. There are some good animals taken every year in the area though. Black Hawk Ranch is more east and I've never hunted out in that area.
