Hunter Orange

Yes, this Utard will be hunting mule deer in Idaho this year. Am I reading the hunting regulations right that hunter orange is recommended but not required? I will be out on the general rifle deer.

Your correct, not required. But highly recommended, a blaze orange beanie/hat will suffice.

If you plan on hunting in unit 39 I would dye your hair orange, get orange body paint and wear a prison orange jump suit.

Wear Orange! I made the mistake my first year hunting Idaho, on private ground, to not wear orange. As it began getting light and the shots began to fly, I nearly cried like a little girl as I dug in my pack to find an orange hat...I could not. I have never gone out since without wearing orange. Deer cannot see it, so why risk your life. Last year a neighbor kid about got shot because he was not wearing orange, its simply not worth it!
