The fishing was meh, but we caught a couple
Fat trout and one good king. Still a couple hours left before we have to head home…

I certain you meant ling. The auto correct always changes it.

Yes ling or burbot. We wants perch and walleyes but they are few and far between this year. We will eat the ling.

They look like eels sort of, but are actually related to cod.

Looks like you had a great time. Was your ice fishing tent big enough to put cots up to sleep, or did you stay awake all night fishing? I have done a lot of cold weather and snow camping, but never ice fished. Looks like fun and those are great looking trout.

We had a set of disco bed cots set up. We just bought a an 859xd. It is insulated and has like 110 sq foot print.

The only thing I don’t like is running a buddy heater for heat lots of moisture, thinking about a diesel heater instead. or a fireplace but don’t like the idea of always hauling wood…

That was probably Elk96's ride I'll bet that ling-cod will taste better then those trout...nice 'bows by the way and looks like you and the boy had a good time!
