Illuminated Reticle

I thought the illumination would help them out and help focus their eye. The ability to dial would be nice, but not necessary. I like the looks of the 4-12x40 cds Leupold VX-R with fire dot. Wouldn?t mind one step up in quality from that scope. Any ideas?

I have a vx6 with the illuminated reticle. It works good. I could take it or leave it, but those with older eyes who have looked through it think they need one right now!
