Does anyone have any information on the Desert Bighorn herd in the Ladron Mountains near Soccorro? Things like the size of the herd, how big of ram are in the area, where they might hang out, etc.

Thanks

Thanks Arron:

That is exactly what I was looking for.

The link for the Spring Helicopter Survey is not working. Were you able to see it before?

It was less than a month ago that it was still working. The major information from it was that a herd of i think 17 bighorn sheep was spotted from the EMRTC building at the base of M Mountain. I guess a lot of the sheep have moved onto that mountain.

There are some d@mned big deserts in New Mexico this year that have never been hunted. It will be interesting to see how the new hunts shakeout, especially considering how wicked the country in all these mountains is and all the scouting pressure they are currently getting. Too bad the guv tag holder will have first crack at the biggest sheep in the state this year...

Don't put in for these tags unless you are in serious shape, Ladron and the rest of the ranges will break you.

Good luck in this incredible draw.
