come on guys and galls there must be some person out there that lives to hunt elk,
looking for a hunting person who wants to shair the ride to and from iowa to colorado in the prersue elk with a bow, in the mid. of the bow season,
at the prime rut.
have great land, 1000 acres.
setting next to public land.
in a zone that holds one of the heaveyest concentrations of elk in the state.
or we could hunt where you would like to hunt.
lets discuss this.
hell, i'll drive,
you just keep me awake.

sounds great i will fly from oregon drive to colorado drive back to iowa and fly to oregon.

when are we leaving?

Baller25,
sounds great, got to be nice to have your own wings.
heck let me know when your flying in and i'll cut you in a landing strip on my property.
I'll call Cabelas in Sidney and see if they can get the boys to ride over a day earler and set up camp,
heck if we travel light we might be able to just take the lambergeanie,
couple hours and we're there.

pulling out of here on the 9/07/05,
Drive all night get there thursday morning.

Wish i my ultralight was running. (Roberson "B1RD 1")
Have a couple mouse holes in my sails, could fly out and do a little high side scouting.

Elkmaster come to grips man !!! your the only elk hunter in iowa now get over it. lol just kidding, Gary

Elkcrzy1,
think your right,
I did run into a guy, who said he had once heard of another elk hunter here in Iowa, he was going to do some checking and let me know.
but that guy passed away, "Fred Bear" i think that was his name......
might have to see if the Nudge wants to join me.
7 1/2 weeks, and counting down.
its time to make that critical decision, do i (meaning you)hunt
or just wish.

its time to get your keyster of that couch and pick up the bow and join me on a elk hunt that will make memories for ever.
when was the last time you hunted a golf course (vail)
with a bow for elk?

LAST EDITED ON Jul-20-05 AT 04:05PM (MST)[p]your doing it again,
i need some one to help shair expences.
i supply the truck, atv. and misc.
camp gear unless you have better and want to use yours.
leave on the 7 of sept.
hunt 1000 acres privet property.
with 300 acres of alfalpha (hay)
up by steamboatthe property has 3 or 4 tanks and a couple springs. (big magnets in dry country)
shot 2 nice 6 point bulls off this property.
want to take one now with a bow.
figure 400 bucks plus, for one way that includes all your grub. + gas,
that may be about 150 bucks high,
this isn't including your tag 483+
lets get it together.

Man I thought this would be a hot topic.
Can't believe there's not any Iowans looking for an opertunity to make a new hunting budy(once a year thing)
and bow hunt one of the largest most majestic critter, Bull Elk.

Maybe it's just a fact that most Iowans can't read.
I know i for one have a hard time spelling.

thanks guys for all your help.
I had many e-mails and finaly made a choice,
heck he lives about 15 miles from me,
a avid whitetail hunter,
now is going to sharpen his teeth on a elk,
we will be hunting as a team,
one calls while the other shoots,
think i'll let him take the first oppertunity.
5 weeks and counting,
lots of things to do.

any of you out there ready yet?
