Assuming the main spike does not split could you shoot this bull as a SPIKE in a spike only unit?

Absolutely. The rule is very clear: If there is no branching above the ear on one antler he is legal.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-13 AT 10:08AM (MST)[p]as long as there is no more branching above that picture yes! my gf brother and i were out hunting and i spotted one like that i told him to shoot. when we got over it had one kicker right behind the spike that was prob 4 inches above base. so i called dwr they checked it out and considered it legal. it actually had 6 pts on the spike side. the dropclub split once, and the was two tines growing up from the base and the spike and the little kicker. was a cool spike hunt.
