J10 Youth Hunt

My two grandkids (13 & 14) drew tags for J10 on FHL.If anyone would care to share any info. to help a couple of boys take their first deer on this military land it would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Hey, PM me as I have an awesome map of hl. You can copy it and I can give you the best zones to hunt. Hell, I know the best spot to sit all day and wait. The perfect vortex bowl. I live in Orange county. My son hunted it 6 years ago, great hunt, nice buck with a .243. I know where the great areas are and they will cater, and open them up to the youth hunters. Camp on the base, great memories.

I have put my kids in for this hunt the past two years and not drawn. When I was a kid I shot my first 2 big game animals on that base. The nice thing is that it is an either sex tag. Whe I hunted it it was antlerless only. There are plenty of deer on the base...whether they'll get a shot at a buck is the question. I'm sure you'll get some more info from someone on MM. Good luck to your boys.
