Lake City Camping

Plan on taking the family to Lake City next month for vaction. Ive been up there a couple times elk hunting and stayed about 18 miles from town. Just wondering if anyone knows of any nice places to camp (tent) thats alittle closer to town. Thanks guys

If you want to camp at Lake San Cristobal, the only sites are at the County Campground. ?Wupperman? $15 a day. Try to get #25 .
Dispersed camping on Public your best bet close To Town will be Up Henson Creek. There are some sites at the Mouth of Nellie Creek that are the closest. Your Options are endless farther away from town.

Thanks ill check into those areas. would like to find an area thats away from others that has some fishing close. When im hunting I camp at oleo ranch. Nice place to camp and fish just aways from town. Thanks again
