Late ek hunt in 17

Was wondering how the late muzzle loader elk hunt was?

We were up there for 5 days and didnt see one elk. All the other hunters were having the same kind of luck. Out of about 15 hunters we talked to only one had seen elk. We never did see a dead one hanging in camp or in the back of a truck.

Hunted unit 17 with a friend who had a bull tag. Saw plenty of elk, but most of the bulls we saw were either young of broken. Had a good hunt and ended up taking a busted 5 x 5.
