Everybody has been hoarding ammo for the past 10 years. Perfect timing.

National Eagle Repository | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
The National Eagle Repository is a one of a kind facility, operated and managed by the Office of Law Enforcement, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The main purpose is to receive, evaluate, store and distribute dead golden and bald eagles, parts and feathers to Native Americans and Alaska Natives...www.fws.gov
And As Most Lead Is Out-Lawed They'll Tell You Copper Kills As Well!I'm slowly starting the change to lead-free rifle bullets, I like the idea of not worrying about lead in game meat as well as not killing raptors.
Killed my WY bull moose and bull elk with nosler etips this year. Shot my pronghorn with an accubond.
Won't be a quick transition, I've got 15,000 accubonds to shoot up but I'm buying lead free bullets when I get a chance.
IME (somewhat limited), load development on the lead free has been very good and great accuracy too. Performance has been pretty good on game as well, no complaints.
Shoot lead until you can't, I don't care, and I will be.And As Most Lead Is Out-Lawed They'll Tell You Copper Kills As Well!
How you Gonna Clean The LEAD Mess Up Buzz?
Shoot lead until you can't, I don't care, and I will be.
I personally don't think lead is an issue for big-game hunting but I'm going to start preparing for what may be mandatory in some places.
I won't be the guy whining because I didn't prepare by stocking up on lead free bullets when the getting was good.
You know, like the guys begging for components now.
It will last long enough to satisfy meYa!
I'm Just Sayin:
LEAD FREE!
COPPER FREE!
METAL FREE!
Where Does It End?
Do You Think This World Is Gonna Last Long Enough To Matter?
For you? No, you have one foot in the grave the other on a banana peel.Ya!

But Un-Like You With Both F'N Feet On Banana Peels! For you? No, you have one foot in the grave the other on a banana peel.
For others, yes.
I think it's mostly hunting situations that could be affected. If you have thousands of rounds of your preferred hunting ammo, you have a problem. mtmuleyIve got my bases covered for the 3 calibers i mainly use, enough to last a number of years if need be, but really, say they outlaw lead ammo for hunting tomorrow. A lot of people wont have any, wont be able to get any, and i highly doubt theyll just quit hunting for a couple years until they can get their hands on some lead free ammo. How in the hell can this be enforced? Ive Never once ran into a game warden or leo of any kind while hunting. How many guys guns can they check? How are they going to know if its lead free or a jacketed, polymer tipped round? What would be the cost of stocking up on lead free ammo for all your hunting rifles, versus the potential cost of a ticket IF you happen to get checked once in 10 years? You think guys with thousands of dollars in ammo stockpiled are going to just say oh well, guess ill not use all this ammo, and spend a ton more money to load up on copper rather than risk maybe getting a ticket?I dont see people complying with a lead ammo ban, because a lot of guys have a ton of money invested in lead ammo, and the ban would be largely unenforceable.
I have more Partitions than lifetimes. When I run out of Interlocks and Partitions, I'll go lead free.
