Yes I believe that's the buck killed in the Steens last season that was advertised in The oregonian and every other publication where he could get a pat on the back. Just decreased the odds of getting that tag again.
 
You been to the Steens Koyote? I think this is the unit that use to be 4X or better for muleys. I was in there once a few years ago and...

Wouldn't want to decrease my chances at an over-the-counter archery tag.

Yes I've been to the Steens, It's almost in my back yard and I've been spending time year around in this unit most of my life. So the Steens is a sore spot with me, to see now what it's turned to.

Never heard of the central oregon unit. Probably cause it doesnt exist.

Manny15: That is a Blacktail in genetics and as far as the boundaries go. It was number 7 when entered and if it did not have a broken G3 on its left side it would break the world record by several inches. "I know would of could of should of" That buck is from the Evans Creek Unit and nearly 20 miles from the Blacktail boundary...


Good catch on the Blackie part though!
