Again, just like the antelope issue, there are many units which can produce big animals. Sorry but unit 2 and 201 simply are not great deer units. Hell look at 10 for example, 10 should have everything to grow great big huge bucks, but it does not do it consistently. Look at the outfitters and the bucks they kill in unit 2 and 201. You know the guys that are in the unit all the time and have hunters pay big money to be put on the best the unit has to offer. They kill decent buck, but I also know that the bucks they are showing are no different than the biggest bucks in near by units that only take a few points to draw.
Just like with the antelope, there are much better units that have much greater trophy potential. As far as time in the field, I spend plenty of time in the field. Also on that point, post count does not matter much either. Good facts allowing a person to make an honest judgement on hunt potential is what I aim for. I can tell you this, of the units that take 14 points to draw or more units 2 and 201 would be pretty low on my list if only considering animal quality.
Just like with antelope, there are much better units.
So let me ask you this, what motivation do you have for pimping units 2 and 201 as great trophy units for antelope? What about deer? Is it that you end up involved with the sale of vouchers for those units? Is it that guys giving an honesty opinion on the area actually devalues the voucher?
