Looking into putting in on this unit for deer......anyone been on and hunted this unit recently? Wondering how it went and what caliber of deer you may have seen. Thanks!

I've hunted it before. You'll generally be given the second week of October to hunt, the paying customers are usually all gone by then. You'll hunt along side the other public tag holders, and a few land owners. Most of the land owners strictly road hunt, so if that's your thing you'll find it fairly busy. However, there are plenty of places to get away from the roads, provided you have a GPS and can stay within the unit boundaries. I'd set my sights on around a 160" type Buck, although there are bigger around, that is kind of a tough time of year to hunt for really mature Bucks.
