huntco,
Ike Reed of Ennis is cheaper than Altimus and does a better job in my opinion. He speciallizes in Whitetails but does a superb job on mules and elk too. I can track down his contact info for you if you like.

Just wanted to let you know that Altimus Taxidermy did an excellent job with my mounts. I have received many compliments on them. Ismith is correct in that their prices are higher than the other taxidermists in the area. However they are a well-established outfit that has been serving the hunting community for many years. I have had a positive experience working with them and will continue to work with them in the future.
frontier taxidermy out of cheyenne....good job of honoring the hunt and the animal...phone 307-632-3686...mail box 5024 ridge road cheyenne 82003....good luck..
Dean Carpenter out of Mussellshell MT (east of Roundup) has done some excellent work that i have greatly admired. I know he had major surgery last year but is back in the saddle so I hear.
The specific muley he did for my pal was at the 187 mark and can be seen on www.channeloutfitters.com.
