FISHLAKE. Enough said. I don't hunt it, but I know what happens with the DWR and there wisdom with cow tags. I used to go to ST. Anthonys sand dunes in Idaho(yes it is a desert). It is closed all winter and into the spring because it is the winter range for the Teton elk. The point is, I think the elk will be fine. One dry summer does not dictate a trend, last year there was still snow on the mtn.. We always seem to go dramatic, "they will starve to death", I doubt it. The deer in the area, I will hear that argument, but the elk will be fine. If there is an emergency, lets kill the cows in July and August, before they are pregnant and before the bulls wasted all there energy( and in some cases lives) for nothing.
When they came for the road hunters I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for the oppurtunists I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for the public land hunters I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for me there was no one left to say anything!
