Mt. Antelope/501 unit ?

New to forum here.Live in western Montana,Superior area,Marine Corps Veteran.Sure glad to find this site.Seems like a bunch of good folks with nice critters and lots of knowledge to go round.I drew a 501 antelope tag this year with my grandpa,was wondering if anyone had any info or tips on that unit.Looks like a limited amount of public land up on the northern end and all private in the rest.Just wondering if anyone here has hunted it and what to expect.Thank you for your time.

I have not hunted in 501, but many years ago I hunted 590 for several years in a row. 590 is southwest of 501.

Antelope are not typically well-liked by ranchers. If you are willing to drive out there and knock on doors before season, I bet you'll find a few ranches who will let you hunt. While you are there, also ask about hunting whitetails later in the season.

Check with F&G about block management areas, too.
