LAST EDITED ON Oct-26-11 AT 00:59AM (MST)[p]with only 10 minutes of light left, after having only seen a few does this big guy comes strutting down a hill. I could barely see, i just knew he was big. since he was walking to me i let him close some yardage, he started slowing up though, and with about 15 minutes of light left i decided to drop the hammer. I jerked the trigger and split open his hide on his knee. he ran about 50 more yards and stoped next to a doe and fawn i had already spotted. I could not make out much for antler but his white face and body size gave him away. I aimed a few inches high at 400 and squeezed another shot. This time i knew i had him him hard. he ran about 15 yards flipped on his back kicked for a few seconds then he was dead. the shot went perfect, literally blew his heart in half. this is my biggest buck i have shot. I have hunted for 4 years and gotten a bigger buck every year. this one will take alot of extra work to top. He is 24 in wide, 21 inch tall. almost perfectly symmetrical except the one kicker. and really long brow tines. I have some better photos i will update with later
