Alert

Obviously photoshopped.
Everyone knows you can't kill a trophy animal these days if you are not wearing $1000 worth of high end camo apparel.

Great buck, congratulations.

Do you mind sharing what unit?

nice Nv. buck !!! Though statewide Deer numbers down to lowest ever,Quality bucks can still be tagged."CONGRATS" ... Bruce & SilverGrand

There has to be a story you could tell us. Did you see him from the truck? Did he walk into your camp? Was he blind in one eye? Theres plenty of light for the pic. so it must have been fairly early in the day.

That's amazing!! I'll bet i looked over hundreds and hundreds of Nev bucks before finding one that nice.

Congrats, did you win at the casino on the way home too? :)

the story
well to say I was excited when I found out I drew a tag would be an understatement. I called all of my buddies and family to rub it in a little.my 13 yr. old daughter informed me that I was not leaving home without her she didn't care if she had to quit school she was going.i had planned to go d.i.y. but due to work obligations I couldn't make it happen . so I talked to an outfitter out of pioche and told him that I was only looking for a little help in the way of what general areas to hunt ect. he told me that he could hook me up with one of his guides for a day rate with a min. of 3 days so I agreed. that was one of the best decisions I ever made. this kid was like 26 yrs old hard working family man all around great guy. he would go out scouting every spare chance he got and send me text with pics of some nice bucks to get me even more excited than I already was. well I could only get away from work the last five days of the hunt so my father in law decided he was going to make sure I didn't walk my daughter in the dirt in my pursuit of a nice buck. well we arrived in pioche the evening before my hunt and went out and shot my rifle everything was good so we met my guide he told us to be ready at 4:am

we were out of the truck by 5 on our way up the backside of a mountain my guide said he had been seeing some decent bucks on. come first light we saw some deer but only small bucks so we continued on our way. we bumped a nice buck about a 27" wide 4x4 that would probably go 170". we stayed on the mountain all day and didn't see anymore bucks so with enough light left to get back to the truck we headed back. when we got to the saddle we had to go over to get to the truck we decided to just sit and wait until dark to see if any thing came out. after about 10 minutes of glassing my guide said he seen just the tips of a buck way down the canyon. so he told me to keep my spotter on him to see if he come out a few minutes later he did I only seen his left side and said that he looked good to me. my father in law looked at me like I was mental he said your going to kill the first decent buck you see ? about then he turned toward us with his head up high and lip curled then my father in law, my daughter and my guide all said we need to kill this deer I said no sh!t.my daughter gave me a big hug and kiss and said good luck dad go hammer him hes a hog so me and my guide took off in hot pursuit while my father in law and daughter went to get the truck.

we took off running down the mountain we had to cover about one mile. we got about half way when my guide stopped to see if he was still there he said you got to look at him hes a stud I said that if I look at him one more time im going to get buck fever worse than I already have it and not be able to shoot him. so went were off again we got to 265 yrds I laid down prone on a big rock and shot my guide said the most hated words in the hunting world YOU MISSED high but luckly the buck just looked at the dust and stood there so I reloaded and aimed a little lower and hammered him. when we got to the buck I was so overwhelmed by adrenenlin that I threw up talk about buck fever haha. I then realized that my camera was in my daughters backpack almost two miles away.so we took a few pics with my guides cell phone and went to work. when we came walking out of the dark and the head lights from the truck hit me with my horns on my back my daughter couldn't get to me fast enough I think she was more excited than I was. my only regret was that my daughter didn't get to see me kill this buck other than that im still smiling.
