I just realized that only 4 hours of hunting seperate my big MZ buck form this one, I've only hunted deer for 4hrs in the last two years!!
That is one amazing place to hunt, once you figure it out. This one is definitely going on the wall, Im really proud of this buck because I had a minute to ananlyze him, decide he was "the one" and take him with a clean offhand shot.
As far as the gun, I love it, its very slim and trim, doesnt weigh much, shoots great, very low recoil for the performance you get. I decided on the Barnes because of the very high velocity this caliber produces, probably any bullet would do for deer, but as you know, I always take a 2nd rifle on my Elk hunts ever since your mishap that first year we hunted there, and I figured I'd better have something tough if I ever had to use it for Elk. And yes, a hole is a hole, except when its a big ole hole in the neck! I'll post the whole story if anybody wants to hear it......
