My daughters biggest

My 17 year old daughter got her second and best buck today. The storm broke and we were out the door. I knew that after a foot of snow and single digit temps the deer would be up. I found this buck at 1:00 and we bailed in. We found it near impossible to get a shot due to the thick trees on our side so we took the gamble and moved over to his side in 6-8 foot scrub oak. At 300 yards we found the best shot we were going to get but it would have to be from a knee off my tripod. She made a great shot. The pack out was pure hell. It took us 2 1/2 hours to go just .8 miles to the truck. Straight up and swimming through scrub oak. She’s on cloud 9.

So awesome - GREAT buck and love to see girls getting after it! Some of my best hunting memories have been with my daughter. They are usually always pretty cool under pressure and great shooters.

Congrats to you guys! I keep telling my boys to find a cute girl that is tough enough to hunt and pack an animal and you will be a happy man! ?
