NDOW Big Game Quota Recommendations

Nothing ground-breaking, pretty similar to last year. At least for the northern washoe / Humboldt units I was looking at.

Basically everything I applied for was affected one way or the other.

One of my deer choices significant increase two significant decrease and one I wanted to pick but didn't finally got an increase.

As a non res with 3pts looking to hunt this year, it doesn't look good. Put in for some easier units to draw and they were all cut by 20% or more. Maybe next year if I don't get lucky.

Any word on what the commission approved for tag quotas at today's meeting?

Scouring NDOW / State and county web sites I did find meeting minutes for MAY 1 2014 for the Washoe county advisory board which essentially approves the NDOW big game quota recommendations ( in Washoe County units) with a few minor adjustments to black bear and California big horn. This is only the Washoe County board so the Nv Wildlife commission still had to approve on may 9 / 10.

I've been no help!

Let's just hope that the NV Wildlife Commission followed suit with Washoe couties recomendations.... Let them tags rain!

After my last post I sent an email to a nice gal over at the DOW who forwarded this link to me which is the ratified tag quotas which appears to, by and large, mirror the NDOW recommendations.

So there we go. Now we just wait until next Friday to see which of us cares what the quotas are!
