A friend of mine just bought a European made 30x68 mauser. It came with about 100 rounds of hand loaded ammunition of different types. All of them shoot quite well but some show signs of really excessive pressure. So much in fact that with a few I had to punch the brass out of the chamber after firing. I was thinking this could be a headspacing problem or a seating depth problem but I can't find any information on this rifle anywhere. Does anyone have any information that could be of use? I don't want to start handloading for this guy until I have all my ducks in a row.
