Nv 075 elk rifle

The unit has a lot of private. Do the elk head for the larger property owners when season starts. Are antelope Peak and Loomis mtn. worth looking at? How the hunting pressure? Thanks

I'm turning in my 075 tag - meant to do it today but forgot it at home. My understanding is they like the private areas until late season.

Good luck! For me, it came down to the funny math they employed this year (e.g., giving out more tags than estimated bulls).

My dad had this same tag last year at it was a
Great hunt. We saw a ton of elk all on the public land.
Ended up killing a 350 6 point there's lots of roads in this
Unit just get off the road and glass the aspen drainages.
I would hunt this unit again in a heart beat.

I was excited about this hunt as well, and know there are good elk here. What deflated me was that they tripled the total tags given over last year, and quadrupled the tags given for my late season hunt, and the number of tags given actually exceeds the estimated number of elk in the unit (by over 15%). I think it is still a great unit to hunt, but I just decided that I don't want my first elk hunt to be part of such possible madness. But it is killing me to give back my tag...
