Alright taxi's and others, what is the best solution to make the horns on my dad's oryx shiny, i personally like the dull look but my dad wants them to shine.

I wouldn't use shoe polish. Maybe its just me but I'd rather keep the natural color (even though its mostly black). I'd probably try linseed oil.

Olive oil works better imo than linseed, it wont go rancide and stink up your mount

Mop N Glo puts a nice lustre to antlers and horns without really distorting the color. It also will not attract dust like oil.


The voices in my head may not be real, but they have
some good ideas!
 
Boiled linseed oil. Wipe the horns down with a light coat on a no-nap cloth (t-shirt works well). Let it set for half and hour and wipe with a clean cloth. Restores the horns to thier natural luster.
