I guess I would take exception to your statement regarding "HUGE RISK TO YOUR LIFE.....". Quite an ignorant & extreme statement, don't you think???
How many hunters have been killed by bandits in So. AZ in the past 5 years?? Yes, it has happend, but rarely. Risk? Yes. HUGE risk?? Hardly, IMO.
I hunt south of Casa Grande quite often. I take my kids there to hunt to. Am I aware of what goes on and do I take some precautions? OF COURSE, but am I taking a huge risk?
That being said, this thread is about a death that happened in Mexico not AZ, so back to the thread. Here is an article posted today on azcentral.com. It describes a bit more than some of the earlier reports. Sad.....
