Gorgeous bull, Don! Congratulations to the hunter. How hot was it there this past weekend?

BOHNTR )))---------->

It's got to be like Africa hot! The only thing that could help is a few rain showers. I'm @ 8,000 ft. elev. & it's almost 90 degrees.

Wouldnt waste the points on a cow, and theres the reason why. Beautiful animal right there, congrats to the hunter.

Nice looking Bull! Congrats to the hunter!!

Looking good there Nickman! Looked to have lost, what, 50-60 pounds? Congrats to you too!!

Great mass on that toad. The way you are posing Don, I swear you shot the bull for the hunter. Did they weigh the bull or just hack it up and put it into a cooler? That has to be pushing as big as they get in the OV

LAST EDITED ON Aug-14-12 AT 00:31AM (MST)[p]I am sorry about no info on the bull, but I have had 4 of the longest days of my life!
( I know you all feel sorry for me havin to hunt elk for 9 days)

Just now got home and hittin it again at 4 am. LOTS of hours on the glass.

We have seen SOOO many bulls and the guys are huntin hard for special antler character.

This hunter is Jim Egan, from So Ca and an absolute great guy. I was pleased to put him on this bull.....twice.....these animals never seem to fully grasp the "plan" concept.

The second stalk....15 minutes after blowing the first one, actually worked out flawlessly. After the 40 yard shot, the bull ran 80 yards and died in a meadow, 20 yards from a road.

This is the largest bodied tule elk we have ever killed here.
We had 633 pounds hanging ready for the locker

The head is massive and it has a short nose, which is an awesome look, to me anyway.

The temp here has been running in triple digits for a week and the humidity is "Georgia"!

Looking to get on a bull tomorrow that has a 180 degree twist to his main beams and his G2's are on the inside of his spread. We will see. If the archery guys can't seal the deal, some rifle hunters are going to be REAL happy.

As for the weight loss, I have a Colorado deer tag in Oct and an Arizona unit 10 elk hunt in Nov........neither of which is good country for old men....especially fat old men! I may be down 20 pounds since March.

sh!t a better argument than that!"
