Potential New Federal District Court Judge in Montana

Why am I posting this on the Wyoming forum? Simple, just remember all the decisions Judge Christensen has made embracing the radical left wing animal rights activist groups. Judge Christensen relisted the grizzly bear not too many years ago.He is the darling of these groups and has made their attorneys wealthy under the EAJA. He is going on Senior Status. It was amazing how all the environmental lawsuits ended up in his courtroom. Especially those involving Wyoming.

The nomination for his replacement is Danna Jackson. She is Native American, fairly young and has been an advisory attorney for the Dept. of Interior in recent years and also for various indian tribes. Jon Tester endorses her. I wonder how this will work out? Environmental attorneys will get rich and the groups they represent will prosper.

In AZ....Phoenix, specifically there was Squaw (TIT) Peak. There was a movement to rename it to something less offensive. It was put on the ballot and voted down. Shortly afterwards, a year or two, in the 2nd Iraq invasion, a Hopi, and the 1st known Indian woman to die in combat was killed.

Shortly afterwards, it came up again. The 2nd time, you couldn't vote against a female Indian war hero. It is now Piestawa Peak.
