Predator Explosion Coming?

With all the winter kill carnage lying around in the hills got me wondering if it will cause predators to have more pups, kittens and cubs from easy picking scavenging??

Coyotes are the most directly related animal to food source out there. It’s amazing to see there populations explode on years when they have a ton of food. Last year was a huge boom I noticed here with the mild winters and tons of small prey doing really well. I had a great calling season because of it

I'm sure the coyotes are living pretty well this spring and the bears too..but I don't think the lions will benefit much from this years carnage.. They like their vittles fresh

Our area was hit hard with rabbit tularemia and pneumonia a few years ago. Not many coyotes around now. Catch-22 because I want to hunt them, but I want to hunt other animals they kill.

The same scenario is being blamed for the explosion of Grizzlies in Yellowstone because of wolves leaving elk carcasses.

Oh definitely! There will be hundreds of thousands of lions across the west this year. We are screwed
