Anybody shoot one yet? I got the chance to fool around with the 2012 line yesterday and they are Sweet!!!!! I guess they are the high end G5 bow line.
Crazy cam design, but the concept makes perfect sense to me.
This bow drives tacks for sure.

Here is a link to the one I shot.

I owned a Centroid last year for about 10 days. It was a nice bow, but not the bow for me. It was very top heavy and difficult to balance. I also found that I am not a big fan of binary cams.

The positives were that the bow had beautiful details, the machining and finish were great!

I haven't shot the 2012 centroid yet, but plan to, hopefully they are lighter in weight as Prime says, as last years centroid is heavy. The bow I shot last year was very accurate but I'd hate to pack it very far.

I shoot one. Great bow. I killed an elk and a deer last year. It shoots amazing. And thanks for the invite on shooting the new models T.J. I wanted to see the upgrades from my 2011.

I can only reply to the 2011 model. I was and still am very intrigued by the cam system. BUt I too felt as if the bow was very heavy. What ultimately closed the door was as someone else stated, it was very top heavy after the shot. This was an absolute deal breaker for me. It was not something I could have gotten used to over time.

I also second that the finish is outstanding on the Prime line of bows. From what I have read up to this day on them, is that they tend to be very accurate and extremely easy to tune as well. I know G5 makes great products, this bow should be no different.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-17-12 AT 03:56PM (MST)[p]I never had a chance to shoot the '11, but the '12 did not feel at all top heavy to me. G5 says .20 lbs reduction in weight which sounds like it made all the difference from the '11 to the '12. The overall feel of the bow was extremely tight and solid, it felt like it belonged in my hand! Like mentioned before the finish is awesome looking. The one I had my hands on was optifade open, and that is probably what I will buy when I can scrape together the cash. I agree that the idea for the cam is brilliant, and makes absolute sense to me.
The dealer told me that every Prime will have a string and cable guarantee for life! Crazy!

I was able to look at the 2012 Shift today, didn't get a chance to shoot it though. Weight difference is very noticeable as there was a 2011 Shift there to compare it to. There also was no top heavy feel to it, just sat there in my hand very balanced, impressive!
I hope to Centroid with a 31" draw has the same feel difference, if so I'll be interested in buying this bow. The camo I'll agree looks great, especially the forest optifade.

I am really liking that Centroid! I am fairly sure that I will be spending some money on it, HAHA. Here is a pic that shows the cam really well.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-27-12 AT 02:30PM (MST)[p]Ive shot it! Love it!

For hunting if you add a tight spot quiver to this bow it will never be top heavy because the tight spot quivers sit a touch back.

Its not a problem for target shooting. Just put the weight on your stabilizes where you want to balance it out.

It draws smooth and still shoots pretty quick.

It will double as a 3d bow, spot bow and hunting bow all in one.

Dave cousins is shooting and is in the money with this bow right now so it cant be to bad.

The best part is how easy you will be able to tune a broadhead, or switch from fat arrows to skinny arrows.

It is also 3 hundred bucks less then the carbon hoyts so you could get a really nice sight with that savings right there.

You will want a limb driven drop away rest or a biscuit with this bow. Because when you put a drop away that attaches to the cable it will actually torque this bow and cause it to have funny tears. They designed the torque out and with this style drop away you just put some back in.

I recommend the 36" axle to axle bow unless your hunting in ground blinds.

If you guys are close to "The Bow Shop" in Nephi, they have the 2012 line of Prime bows, and are very friendly to deal with. I think Jakes also carries them now too.
