Hello all. I scored a rifle tag for deer in gmu 37 in November. I was wondering if anyone here had any luck in this unit and where some good areas are. I'm not expecting anyone to give up their sweet spots but just a little direction since I have never hunted this unit before. I'd like to scout as much as I can and would like to stay away from the areas everyone else hunts if that's even possible. I'm not afraid to hoof it in if it means getting a good shot. Thanks.

I had a rifle tag there three years ago. hunted down by ancho it was like a zoo there. lots of campers and lots of road hunters
had a muzzle loader tag two years ago. mostly the same. a few less I did s. ee more bucks that season. same area different plan. get off the roads. even a couple of houndred yards makes a difference. by Monday most were gone.
