RIP to a man who loved his country. I had some front row tickets to see him last month. Of course it got canceled. Learning of this is a sad day indeed.
What a terrible year ........ 2020 ! Along with most things in our current world of **** we lose another country music legend. He was quite the performer , but more importantly , quite the man ! Sad news
By far my favorite album he put out, and easily in my top 5 favorites
of any album I've ever heard.
Its been out of print for ever, I don't know for sure but I think its only been produced on vinyl.
Not sure how to post up the entire album but its worth looking up on youtube.
Would love to see this show on video.
I played 2 hands of 21 with him Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo in 1999. He was wearing his cowboy hat and a Tennessee t-shirt and sweat pants. He laid down a $100 bill and played 2 hands and then sauntered off again. Had a cigar the size of a brow tine on a bull elk too. He was a fine song writer and a blast to see in concert. Another great one gone
