Rule changes question

After watching the RAC proposals back a couple months ago in regard to point creep changes and reading this years guidebook, I’m confused.
If you purchase an OTC any bull or spike tag in July, do you lose your cow elk PPs?
Maybe a call to the DWR office is in order but I’d like to read your feedback.

No the anybull and spike hunt is not tied to the cow hunts at all. If you buy a leftover cow elk tag then you will lose your cow elk points.

I think there is even some over the counter cow hunts that you will lose points over but I'm not sure if its the private land only hunts or the control permits. Could be both.

My understanding is both private land and control hunts will remove your antlerless points
