LAST EDITED ON Sep-18-06 AT 10:46PM (MST)[p]Was out to Cisco Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hunting antelope with my cousin and it rained, hailed, and the wind blew like I've never seen before. Not sure how the tents managed to stay up, but they did. I didn't notice any snow in the high country until coming up Sp. Fork Canyon on the way home and then there was snow way up high on Nebo.
We came through Soldier Summit about noon Sunday and it must've been colder than hell there because one of the lawns had a sprinkler going and the whole place was still covered in ice.
Cousin managed to ventilate a decent antelope on the opener. Not real tall, but had good mass and good prongs.
Everything I've ever heard about the Bookcliff's is the deer start to move more by the calendar than the weather, but I'm no expert. If you have a rifle permit, a good place to start is in the McCook Ridge area.
