Why is that when you're in a group of guys and you start talking occupations you don't seem to have a lot of conflicts? You seldom hear a plumber tell a carpenter how to frame a house. Or a carpenter tell a plumber how to run pipe. Doctors don't tell fireman how they'd fight fires and firemen seldom tell the surgeon how to remove an appendix. Good mechanics never tell a scientist how to make rockets fly and even though the scientist may know why a carburetor works he seldom tells the mechanic what jets to run in a Holly 750. Computer geeks don't tell insurance salesmen about premiums and actuaries. Insurance guys don't tell draftsmen how to draw plans.
But when the subject turns to managing wildlife, in particular deer herds, suddenly every swinging d!ck in the coffee shop is a friggin expert!!! There is no profession in the world that seems so obvious how its done to everyone else.
The only place this rule does not seem to be exclusive is of course, here on Monster Muleys. Here EVERYONE is an expert about EVERYTHING but it is even further exagerated when it comes to deer management.
WTF?
