I'm guessing it should push things along a little more and really set em off BUT... they are gonna be scattered. Should be interesting, can't wait... c'mon 1-1-11!!!!

Should keep the deer moving more throughout the day. The rut for the most part has already kicked off and should go right into jan. Ive already seen tons of does that had a buck pushing them. Good luck!

That'll be good news for me if it goes into Jan. All you guys talking about rutting deer have me scared I'm gonna miss the best part of the year.

WELL ITS JAN. 3RD.........WHAT KIND OF RAIN FALL HAVE YOU FELLAS HAD IN ARIZONA......HOW MANY INCHES IN THE NORTHERN HALF ???.......THANKS.........YD.

I've seen a lot of doe with no bucks or with a small two point pushing doe. I'm hoping the bigger bucks will come out soon where I'm hunting.

Hey YD, it's been a little drier than normal in Northern Arizona so far this year. Here in Flagstaff we've received one small storm with about 4" of snow, and one last week with 12"-20" of snow. It's supposed to be a drier year, but I'm hoping for a wet year to help out the antlers, and fawns/calves.

HEY MIKE, HOW YA BEEN ??? I'M SITTIN ON 14 ELK POINTS AND THIS WEATHER /MOISTURE CONCERNS ME. I DID NOT KNOW ITS SUPPOSE TO BE A DRY YEAR IN 2011. I AM HOPING IT RAINS LIKE HECK ALL THROUGH THE SPRING TIME = BIG ANTLERS LIKE YOU SAY. THANKS AGAIN FOR HELPING ME LOAD UP THAT BUCK, I MIGHT STILL BE THERE. HAPPY NEW YEAR..........YD.

Here is a 15 day weather forecast since the 3rd of Jan. looks like it's gonna rain again this Friday and maybe a little Saturday. I pushed out my hunt for one week because of the snow. I am going to take a chance that it won't get as bad this time and hunt from Saturday to next Thursday. Good luck and be careful to everyone out there specially in the higher country.

It does appear la nina will affect us this year, hopefully it's not a terrible year to have a elk tag. YD good luck on whatever you decide to do, with moisture or no moisture there will still be some good bulls to be found!
