My dad drew South Cache elk (non-resident), which opens November 8th. We've had a real tough year personally, so we haven't had time yet to research or scout. We are planning to be spend next Tuesday and Wednesday nights in Logan, spending Wed out looking for a good place for a camp.
Can anyone offer suggestions on places to concentrate our efforts? My dad is 64, but is pretty mobile. We prefer to hunt in places where we can get away from roads/ATV trails. He's not looking for anything monstrous, just a nice bull (300?).
