South Dakota questions.

Hi all, I'm gearing up for my first solo DIY hunt. Going to head to the north west corner in South Dakota, up around Harding County. I'm not looking for any specific locations, but any advice for hunting up in that area would be helpful. A few questions:

? Can I camp anywhere on BLM land? Any suggestions on good camping areas in the region?
? I've only hunted Idaho for Mulleys... am I correct in thinking I should be looking for a good area to glass and just sit? I'm going to be archery hunting.
? Does the area have a decent enough deer population that I should at least be able to find some deer?

Thanks! Feel free to PM if you'd rather. I hunt and live in the midwest, so I'm happy to swap information on big whitetails for some mule deer tips. Thanks guys!

Tons of places to camp.
Bring some good glass to look off the high area's, will save alot of walking.
Love hunting the rimrock.
