Well, I am proud to say that my son stuck with it and killed a very nice Wasatch Archery bull last Saturday. It was a tough hunt with lots of hot weather and a ton of spike/cow hunters to compete with the first 4 weeks. But we stuck with it. Spence spent many days in a tree stand without a single elk showing up.
Even after some rain and us getting down on Saturday to dry off, he still wanted to get back in the tree for the last few hours. That is when it paid off in spades!
Despite having to hold his draw back for more than a minute, the shot was perfect and the bull only went 100 yards and tipped over. It was amazing and he is a big old bull.
I am a techno-idiot so I don't know how to post the pictures, but if someone wants to help me out, we are glad to share.
Thanks to many of you who gave help and encouragement!
