On one of the Nevada hunting FB pages...there was quite a debate on interpretation of what constitutes a legal Nv spike versus traditional spike.
As defined per NDOW:
Spike elk ? any antlered elk having not more than two points above the top of the ear on either antler
Pretty easy on the above the ear part...main beam plus one on either of the antlers.
Question comes once you hit the antler base and brow tines. Does the reg consider the brow point tip above the ear tip or the beginning of the point at the antler as a point below the ear reference?
