Hi all,
Any suggestions on what powder or pellets, and how much to push a 300 grain sabot? Ive been told 3- 50 grain 777 pellets, but does it really need that. I plan to hunt elk and deer with them.

Loose powder is cheaper and can be customized.

My elk load is 90-95 gr of fffg 777 and a 350 hornady FPB I never have an never will use 150 gr of any powder. There is no need

What gun and ignition system are you using?

Someone else should know for sure, but I suspect you can use BH 209 powder in that gun. If so that is what I would use. Don't have to swab between shots and doesn't promote rust as bad as other substitutes.

In my inlines, I use Blackhorn 209 at 90-100 gr (by volume). Plenty of power to kill anything up to an elk. However NEVER use 150 gr of BH 209 in your gun. It is stroger than pellets and around 120 gr (by volume) is the same as 150 gr of pellets.
