Yea... the story plot gets thicker. I have a friend who talked to the guy whose backyard the NDOW put the buck down in. He said it was a large 4 point that this buck got in a tussle with and the fight did go on for awhile. The big buck seemed exhausted and went and laid down in this guy's backyard. He didn't think the buck was injured bad enough to justify putting him down. Who knows what really happened. As always, the truth to the story is somewhere in the middle. I just really hope that NDOW studied this buck very closely before making the decision to put him down.
