ELKMASTER 101,
That was an ignorant post. Nowhere in my (or 8-point's) post did I whine. Nowhere in my post did I say anything that makes me anything close to an animal rights activist. And finally, you don't know anything about me, where I work or who I work with, let alone what they think about me. I would not recommend making that bet that my coworkers think I'm a sissy? That would be ignorant also. (Hmm, I'm starting to see a pattern here)
So before you get your panties in a wad because I simply stated my opinion about how your hero comes across to the non-hunting public, look back through some of my posts on this board over the last three or four years. You'll find that I am like most. I come here for the sharing of hunting information and to pass the time until the next time I get out in the field.
We're all hunters here. And I feel that as hunters it is our responsibility to portray our heritage and our sport as positively as possible. Otherwise, we're going to lose it. The activists are always looking for ammunition to use against us. I think the way Ted comes across sometimes gives it to them. If you think that's whining, go buy a dictionary.
So if you have anything intelligent to say in response to my post, I'm willing to have an open discussion with you as a fellow hunter. If you'd rather sit behind your computer and call me names, go for it big man. I just won't have a whole lot of respect for you and won't respond again.
Yours in what's best for our sport,
WALLHANGER
P.S. I forgot to respond to the "what have you done for anyone?" Assuming you're referring to hunting, I've introduced my son to shooting and hunting. I've also introduced a friend of his and his dad to hunting, and several other of my son's friends to shooting. Clearly not as much as Ted Nugent, but if you'll look back at my post, you'd see that I acknowledged that he does things for kids.
