I just bought the cable's alaknak 12x20 tent. I was wondering what type of stoves you guys recommend? I've found cheap ones ($60-$80)and expensive ones ($250-$350). I'm of course leaning towards the cheap ones, but wanted to hear what you all use. Thanks.

Well, being that that tent weighs 106 pounds with the frame and stakes and body, I would say get the biggest cheapest stove you can find.

You are not going to be packing it anywhere. There is no need to spend a ton of money on a lightweight packable stove.

Who cares how much it costs, go for features.

You want the ability to control airflow.
Large capacity means no need to wake up and re fuel the fire in the middle of the night.
But the ability to control the airflow with a damper in the pipe, and air flow control on the front of the stove means you can regulate heat.

If you find a cheap one with large capacity, spark arrestor, and full air flow controls on both ends, buy that one.

Don't buy a cheap one that is too small, and does not give you air flow control.
You will just end up buying another one to replace the junk you bought.

Check out 4 dog stoves.
We have never had a problem with it and heated a 16x20 with no problem.
